This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to extract other users' email addresses, login names, and registration dates via the Member Directory's per-row user rebinding when attacker-controlled base64 payloads in the [pp-custom-html] shortcode invoke [profile-email], [profile-username], and [profile-date-registered]. When the WordPress users_can_register option is enabled, unauthenticated attackers can also exploit this vulnerability by supplying the split shortcode fragments through the plugin's own registration handler, which processes the reg_nickname and reg_bio fields without a nonce requirement."}],"title":"Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content <= 4.17.4 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Sensitive Information Exposure via Shortcode Injection via Nickname and Biographical Info Profile Fields","references":[{"url":"https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/1340aeb3-12a0-4965-95db-45d753935812?source=cve"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/ShortcodeParser/FrontendProfileTag.php#L140"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/ShortcodeParser/MemberDirectoryTag.php#L237"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/ShortcodeParser/Builder/GlobalShortcodes.php#L165"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/Themes/DragDrop/ProfileFieldListing.php#L184"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/Themes/DragDrop/MemberDirectoryListing.php#L145"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/Functions/GlobalFunctions.php#L1715"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/Classes/RegistrationAuth.php#L131"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-avatar/tags/4.17.4/src/Classes/EditUserProfile.php#L342"}],"problemTypes":[{"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","description":"CWE-94 Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection')","cweId":"CWE-94","type":"CWE"}]}],"metrics":[{"cvssV3_1":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","baseScore":8.8,"baseSeverity":"HIGH"}}],"credits":[{"lang":"en","type":"finder","value":"Jakub Herman"}],"timeline":[{"time":"2026-09-16T13:19:42.000Z","lang":"en","value":"Vendor Notified"},{"time":"2026-10-02T14:31:10.000Z","lang":"en","value":"Disclosed"}]},"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"type":"ssvc","content":{"id":"CVE-2026-92536","role":"CISA Coordinator","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"total"}],"version":"2.0.3","timestamp":"2026-10-03T15:36:12.995969Z"}}}],"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment","providerMetadata":{"orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP","dateUpdated":"2026-10-03T15:42:46.795Z"}}]}}
