Apply the equivalent fix here: widen the port accumulator\nto u32 and reject values above 65535, and reject address octets above\n255."}],"metrics":[{"cvssV3_1":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","baseScore":7.3,"baseSeverity":"HIGH"},"scenarios":[{"lang":"en","value":"AV:N - The wrap is in ip_vs_ftp_get_addrport() on decimal octets/port from the FTP TCP payload: client PORT/EPRT arrives via ip_vs_in_hook → ip_vs_nat_xmit → tcp_dnat_handler → ip_vs_ftp_in, and server PASV \"227 \"/EPSV \"229 \" via ip_vs_out_hook → tcp_snat_handler → ip_vs_ftp_out. FTP/TCP is a routable IP protocol.\nAC:L - Each extra digit deterministically wraps: unsigned char p[i] is truncated on assignment, and __u16 hport wraps on hport*10+digit. After an IP_VS_TCP_S_ESTABLISHED NAT FTP control conn, a single crafted PORT/EPRT or 227/229 line is enough; there is no race or attacker-uncontrolled layout.\nPR:N - tcp_app_conn_bind() attaches the ftp helper for MASQ conns to the app port (default 21) with no FTP USER/PASS check; ip_vs_ftp_in/ip_vs_ftp_out parse any established control payload. A remote peer that completes the TCP handshake to the IPVS VIP supplies the digits with no kernel credentials.\nUI:N - The attacker sends the PORT/EPRT command, or as the scheduled real server the PASV/EPSV reply, on a TCP session they already established; no other user must mount, open a file, or change IPVS configuration.\nS:U - ip_vs_conn_new(), ip_vs_tcp_conn_listen(), and ip_vs_nfct_expect_related() only change IPVS connection and netfilter expectation state on the load-balancer host; no VM, IOMMU, or guest-to-host boundary is crossed.\nC:L - The truncated p[]/hport values become the data-connection tuple in ip_vs_conn_new(), and PASV/EPSV also calls ip_vs_nfct_expect_related() for a RELATED expectation on VIP:wrapped_port, so TCP to that port can be bound to the FTP session and its payload observed. This is not an arbitrary kernel read.\nI:L - ip_vs_ftp_in/ip_vs_ftp_out install the wrapped address/port via ip_vs_conn_new() and, for PASV/EPSV, rewrite the 227/229 text with nf_nat_mangle_tcp_packet() using n_cp->vport, so forwarding/NAT state describes a different endpoint than the peer sent. There is no OOB write or control-flow hijack.\nA:L - ip_vs_tcp_conn_listen() parks the truncated-port conn in LISTEN, so the FTP data transfer fails and SYNs to that VIP port can be claimed instead of another virtual service until the conn times out. The parser does not oops, panic, or loop."}]}],"affected":[{"product":"Linux","vendor":"Linux","defaultStatus":"unaffected","repo":"https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git","programFiles":["net/netfilter/ipvs/ip_vs_ftp.c"],"versions":[{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"d02de9a7a7e2484da0cf37e50614840623b98a62","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"fc1493c905d7e0bc8830c1d83915cb7831daf1a1","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"50cb9b7263a2ed01f7d2f97818a800c2ee05f661","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"deaa88fa010ba0dfc554d09e006ddd1ce9945c82","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"00bcc6d679262ea42688fba1d7819ea6e56f12ef","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"4aed450adaee3a021db27be94c61fe025b0d05ff","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"b1908bff0faaa94d55be72da65879cad632e8236","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2","lessThan":"e625a9477d12baaff4025c5f9989184a907ea8fc","status":"affected","versionType":"git"}]},{"product":"Linux","vendor":"Linux","defaultStatus":"affected","repo":"https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git","programFiles":["net/netfilter/ipvs/ip_vs_ftp.c"],"versions":[{"version":"2.6.12","status":"affected"},{"version":"0","lessThan":"2.6.12","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"5.10.270","lessThanOrEqual":"5.10.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"5.15.221","lessThanOrEqual":"5.15.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.1.188","lessThanOrEqual":"6.1.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.6.157","lessThanOrEqual":"6.6.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.12.110","lessThanOrEqual":"6.12.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.18.52","lessThanOrEqual":"6.18.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"7.2.6","lessThanOrEqual":"7.2.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"7.3-rc1","lessThanOrEqual":"*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"original_commit_for_fix"}]}],"cpeApplicability":[{"nodes":[{"operator":"OR","negate":false,"cpeMatch":[{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"5.10.270"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"5.15.221"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"6.1.188"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"6.6.157"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"6.12.110"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"6.18.52"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"7.2.6"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.12","versionEndExcluding":"7.3-rc1"}]}]}],"references":[{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d02de9a7a7e2484da0cf37e50614840623b98a62"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fc1493c905d7e0bc8830c1d83915cb7831daf1a1"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/50cb9b7263a2ed01f7d2f97818a800c2ee05f661"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/deaa88fa010ba0dfc554d09e006ddd1ce9945c82"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/00bcc6d679262ea42688fba1d7819ea6e56f12ef"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4aed450adaee3a021db27be94c61fe025b0d05ff"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b1908bff0faaa94d55be72da65879cad632e8236"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e625a9477d12baaff4025c5f9989184a907ea8fc"}],"title":"ipvs: fix integer overflow in ftp helper port/address parsing","x_generator":{"engine":"bippy-1.2.0"}}}}
