Prior to versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5, Suricata's inspection-buffer helper could leave an inspection pointer referencing freed memory after a chained transform caused the backing buffer to be reallocated. The issue is reached during a specific network traffic processing, and requires a specific but not malicious rule. Versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5 contain a fix. As a workaround, avoid rules that chain `dotprefix` transform after another one."}],"source":{"advisory":"GHSA-59q6-j4w8-8pjx","discovery":"UNKNOWN"}},"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"type":"ssvc","content":{"timestamp":"2026-09-11T15:16:16.183696Z","id":"CVE-2026-45751","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","version":"2.0.3"}}}],"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment","providerMetadata":{"orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP","dateUpdated":"2026-09-11T15:16:24.081Z"}}]}}
