Prior to version 3.1.3, OpenMcdf does not detect cycles in the directory entry red-black tree of a Compound File Binary (CFB) document. A crafted CFB file with a cycle in the LeftSiblingID / RightSiblingID chain causes Storage.EnumerateEntries() and Storage.OpenStream() to loop indefinitely, consuming the calling thread with no possibility of recovery via try/catch. This issue has been patched in version 3.1.3."}],"source":{"advisory":"GHSA-jxpf-xq2m-q525","discovery":"UNKNOWN"}},"adp":[{"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/openmcdf/openmcdf/security/advisories/GHSA-jxpf-xq2m-q525","tags":["exploit"]}],"metrics":[{"other":{"type":"ssvc","content":{"timestamp":"2026-05-11T18:45:00.791400Z","id":"CVE-2026-41511","options":[{"Exploitation":"poc"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","version":"2.0.3"}}}],"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment","providerMetadata":{"orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP","dateUpdated":"2026-05-11T18:45:06.128Z"}}]}}
