This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit requires two coordinated inputs from the same authenticated attacker: an HTML comment payload stored in a comment body (preserved verbatim by WordPress comment kses) and a matching simple_html_dom noise key placed in the attacker's display_name (which survives esc_attr() intact), with substitution occurring after both filters have run during the plugin's default-on output-buffering pass over the full rendered page."}],"title":"Gallery Custom Links <= 2.3.3 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Author Display Name + Comment HTML Comment Body","references":[{"url":"https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/f37a0db8-b13c-4d9f-bc6f-88576f9e3862?source=cve"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L502"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L2112"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L2207"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/classes/core.php#L215"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/classes/core.php#L103"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3737485/gallery-custom-links"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3737485/gallery-custom-links/trunk/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php"}],"problemTypes":[{"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","description":"CWE-79 Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')","cweId":"CWE-79","type":"CWE"}]}],"metrics":[{"cvssV3_1":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","baseScore":4.9,"baseSeverity":"MEDIUM"}}],"credits":[{"lang":"en","type":"finder","value":"crow"}],"timeline":[{"time":"2026-10-08T19:15:56.000Z","lang":"en","value":"Vendor Notified"},{"time":"2026-10-13T19:13:51.000Z","lang":"en","value":"Disclosed"}]},"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"type":"ssvc","content":{"timestamp":"2026-10-14T14:16:06.134481Z","id":"CVE-2026-107757","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","version":"2.0.3"}}}],"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment","providerMetadata":{"orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP","dateUpdated":"2026-10-14T14:18:40.709Z"}}]}}
