If the driver is unloaded in\nthis scenario, it calls ndo_stop again, attempting to free\nresources that have already been freed, leading to a host\nhang issue. To resolve this, dev_close should be called\ninstead of the device-specific stop function.dev_close\ninternally calls ndo_stop to stop the network interface\nand performs additional cleanup tasks. During the driver\nunload process, if the device is already down, ndo_stop\nis not called."}],"affected":[{"product":"Linux","vendor":"Linux","defaultStatus":"unaffected","repo":"https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git","programFiles":["drivers/net/ethernet/marvell/octeon_ep/octep_main.c"],"versions":[{"version":"5cb96c29aa0ea359e4f5d30585538dc6a847d69d","lessThan":"7e1ca1bed3f66e00377f7d2147be390144924276","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"5cb96c29aa0ea359e4f5d30585538dc6a847d69d","lessThan":"c8d788f800f83b94d9db8b3dacc1d26be38a6ef4","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"5cb96c29aa0ea359e4f5d30585538dc6a847d69d","lessThan":"6d1052423518e7d0aece9af5e77bbc324face8f1","status":"affected","versionType":"git"},{"version":"5cb96c29aa0ea359e4f5d30585538dc6a847d69d","lessThan":"34f42736b325287a7b2ce37e415838f539767bda","status":"affected","versionType":"git"}]},{"product":"Linux","vendor":"Linux","defaultStatus":"affected","repo":"https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git","programFiles":["drivers/net/ethernet/marvell/octeon_ep/octep_main.c"],"versions":[{"version":"6.4","status":"affected"},{"version":"0","lessThan":"6.4","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.6.90","lessThanOrEqual":"6.6.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.12.28","lessThanOrEqual":"6.12.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.14.6","lessThanOrEqual":"6.14.*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"},{"version":"6.15","lessThanOrEqual":"*","status":"unaffected","versionType":"original_commit_for_fix"}]}],"cpeApplicability":[{"nodes":[{"operator":"OR","negate":false,"cpeMatch":[{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.6.90"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.12.28"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.14.6"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.15"}]}]}],"references":[{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7e1ca1bed3f66e00377f7d2147be390144924276"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c8d788f800f83b94d9db8b3dacc1d26be38a6ef4"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6d1052423518e7d0aece9af5e77bbc324face8f1"},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/34f42736b325287a7b2ce37e415838f539767bda"}],"title":"octeon_ep: Fix host hang issue during device reboot","x_generator":{"engine":"bippy-1.2.0"}}}}
