This is due to the plugin exposing state-changing REST actions through an AJAX bridge without proper CSRF token validation, and having destructive logic reachable via GET requests with no permission_callback. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to force logged-in administrators to create, update, or delete markers and geometry features via CSRF attacks, and allows anonymous users to trigger mass deletion of markers via unsafe GET requests."}],"title":"WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps) <= 9.0.46 - Cross-Site Request Forgery to Plugin Settings Update","references":[{"url":"https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/840ba5b2-838a-455a-b39d-865f89c05249?source=cve"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-maps/trunk/includes/class.rest-api.php#L45"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-maps/trunk/includes/class.rest-api.php#L287"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-maps/trunk/includes/class.rest-api.php#L850"},{"url":"https://research.cleantalk.org/cve-2025-11166"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&new=3370954%40wp-google-maps%2Ftrunk&old=3317391%40wp-google-maps%2Ftrunk&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=#file1"}],"problemTypes":[{"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","description":"CWE-352 Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)","cweId":"CWE-352","type":"CWE"}]}],"metrics":[{"cvssV3_1":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","baseScore":5.4,"baseSeverity":"MEDIUM"}}],"credits":[{"lang":"en","type":"finder","value":"Dmitrii Ignatyev"}],"timeline":[{"time":"2025-10-01T06:42:27.000Z","lang":"en","value":"Vendor Notified"},{"time":"2025-10-08T13:41:56.000Z","lang":"en","value":"Disclosed"}]},"adp":[{"metrics":[{"other":{"type":"ssvc","content":{"timestamp":"2025-10-09T18:10:44.699312Z","id":"CVE-2025-11166","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","version":"2.0.3"}}}],"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment","providerMetadata":{"orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","shortName":"CISA-ADP","dateUpdated":"2025-10-09T18:10:57.000Z"}}]}}
